| What's Wrong With "The Omega Code" Movie? |
| Written 10-08-01 This $7.2 million film is Biblically blasphemous at its very core. Hollywood hascashed in millions of dollars on producing films that glorify the life of the antichrist such as "The Omen," "Rosemary's Baby," etc. And now, we must add the "Omega Code" to the list of blasphemous films. We must remember thatto go beyond what the Bible has said in the book of Revelation and add to it is what Bible theologians call blasphemy. Rev 22:18: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. So what's wrong with the movie?? 1) First of all, the movie Omega Code is based on the "Bible" Codes and NOT on the Bible. Paul and Matt Crouch have both repeatedly stated that the movie is based on the book written by Paul Crouch. To know this is to understand the rest of this article. ============================================================== "I see these megaplex theaters filled up on weekends. For young people, it's the place to be, and the church parking lots are empty," Crouch said. "Why not utilize the influence of these huge theaters? I think they're the new streetcorner churches of the new millennium." <http://www.channel2000.com/sh/entertainment/news/articles/natlphae-entnews-9>91020-164629.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Omega Code tells the story of the modern day, new age guru (Casper Van Dien's character) who promotes his new age philosophy; which is glorified in the beginning of the film. ( Alot of "bad seeds" could be sown to the unsaved viewers.) Then he is hired by the antichrist to help motivate the world into believing in him. Later in the movie, he gets "saved" by saying; "Jesus, save me" and then he is a convert who tries to stop the antichrist. The Gospel is not presented in the film in the Biblical traditional way that would draw viewers to Jesus Christ. The OmegaCode also adds to the Book of Revelation by telling the story of the Antichrist and how he cleverly acquires power by following the bible codes. To make a film about the antichrist and his personality as well as putting a face on him and detailing his agenda without the Mark 666, is pure blasphemy. It is very dangerous to put out a movie depicting him in such a fashion because the Antichrist will enter the scene DECEITFULLY. SATAN IS A MASTER OF DISGUISE and the master of lies but we are not ignorant of his devices. We, who have been born again, will be raptured and will not be here. The antichrist is going to enter the scene as a peacekeeper, a genius who will solve the problems in the Middle East. He will introduce his mark or biochip which will be as the King James Bible says; "IN the hand." (The other new age bible versions state that the mark will be; "ON the hand." ) 2) The Omega Code ADDS TO prophecy: A)The Antichrist follows the "Bible" Codes to achieve worldwide adoration and submission. The Omega Code depicts the antichrist as WILLFULLY following the Bible codes to fulfill his destiny. The unorganized plot of the whole film is that the final chapter of the Bible code is missing and without it, the antichrist is paralysed and does not know what to do next until he cracks the last chapter of the code. Where is this written in the Bible? B) The Two Witnesses are dressed in modern day clothing. The Bible states they will be dressed in sack cloth. The movie also depicts the two witnesses as dressed in jeans (the Bible says that they will be dressed in sack cloth) and they only seem to be concerned about Casper's character's welfare. Meeting with him secretly and discussing the agenda of the antichrist and the codes. This alone could deem the movie blasphemous but we shall look into the movie further. 3)The movie LEAVES OUT the following Biblical factors: -No Rapture -No Mark of the Beast: 666 is left out completely in the movie -No Persecution of the saints -No False Prophet -No 144,000 Jewish Male Virgins -No Plagues...no trumpets, seals or bowls All of these things make up the Book of Revelation. However in this movie, the Bible is not the basis for the film so that is why these things are NOT in the movie. They have completely rewritten or deleted parts of the book of Revelation and made Casper's Van Dien's character a hero. This is not in the Bible. The only hero is Jesus when He comes with ten thousand of his saints after the 7 year tribulation to rescue Israel from utter destruction. God will not share His glory with another. The difference between the Omega Code and almost all other Christian Bible prophecy films is the fact that most of the other films tell the story of one's personal experience in the endtimes. Usually in these films, the rapture occurs, the antichrist is introduced, the mark is introduced and what the movie portrays is one's experience in such circumstances. They try to show the audience the consequences of not receiving Christ BEFORE the rapture and how life will be after the rapture occurs when Jesus takes His church home. So in essence, the other Bible prophecy films tell the story of ordinary people who are left behind and show the terrible things that they must go through because they did not receive Jesus Christ beforehand. This is NOT the case with the Omega Code! The Omega Code joins the ranks in Hollywood in their portrayal of the end times. Hollywood almost always has focused their attention on the antichrist and his character. Previous Christian movies focus on the average person who is left behind to face the Tribulation not on the Antichrist's character. Such depiction and focus of the antichrist, as with the TBN film is very dangerous because it conditions the minds of the viewers to expect what is depicted on the screen when in essence the real story will be much different. The real antichrist will be MUCH different. We should not go beyond what the Bible says. Such things are VERY dangerous and could lead masses of people astray. The Omega Code left many unsaved viewers extremely confused. These people left the movie theatre not even knowing about the mark, plagues or anything about the book of Revelation. After viewing the Omega Code, I realized that the world will not be looking for a figure described in the books of Daniel and Revelation but they will be looking for a vicious character like the one found in the Omega Code. This is satan's plan to deceive the masses of people. We have to remember that Satan can be disguised as an angel of light. He did not announce to Eve that he was God's enemy but pretended to have one up on God and to be Eve's friend. That is how he opperates. Satan can inspire movies and scripts to confuse the masses and to promote his agenda too. When the true Church of Jesus is raptured, many left behind who think that they are Christians will claim that "God has taken the chaff out of the earth." How else can they possibly explain why they have been left behind? As if it could not get worse, brace yourself because TBN is now producing "Megiddo" which tells the story of the Antichrist when he was a child as well as his adult years. I have seen three scenes from the movie. One depicts the antichrist as a little child, running to a dark church at night to receive the mandate from an evil spirit and from that moment on, the antichrist child knows his destiny. In the gruesome scene, the evil spirit annoints the child's forehead with blood and it becomes an upside down cross. I was horrified! What Matt Crouch said is that they wanted to depict "the epitomy of evil" and show the audience that the antichrist willfully accepts this mandate when he is a child. This is not found anywhere in Scripture. The devil is preparing the audience to be deceived. When the real antichrist steps out on the scene, the people will not even recognize him. They depict him as being this tyrant and so evil while the entire time, following the codes. We know the real antichrist will be the opposite. Daniel 11:21: And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. The Bible says; "by peace, he will destroy many." Daniel 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. I don't believe the antichrist will know that he is the antichrist. He will be filled with so much pride and so dogmatic about his beliefs. He probably will think he is doing the world a great service in the beginning. Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Daniel 8:23-24 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. He will be possessed by satan himself. We must remember that Satan possessed Judas and the disciples did not know that Judas was the traitor until he left the room. The antichrist will be religious in that he will honor a strange god. Daniel 11:38-39 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. The world will be looking for a Hollywood, Omega Code portrayal of the antichrist. Not the antichrist depicted within the pages of Scripture. 2Thess 2:9-12: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. The Bible says "Strong Delusion." Something the world is not going to expect. The person least likely to be the antichrist will most likely be the antichrist. The Bible says that a "mouth" will be given unto him. A "seat" will be given unto him. "Great authority" will be given unto him. At the present, whoever the antichrist is, he does not know it yet and he does not rule yet. The Bible says the beast rises from the sea. The sea has always been symbolic of the unknown. The antichrist will not burst unto the scene shouting "I am the antichrist." In the beginning, he is not going to act like the antichrist...that would be too obvious. The world would be on guard for someone like that. He is going to be of such charisma that the whole world is going to worship him and love him. That is what the Scriptures say. To go beyond what the Bible says in depicting the antichrist (his childhood, his following Bible codes, etc.) in a movie is pure blasphemy considering that he has not stepped out on the world scene yet. To place a picture in one's mind of what the antichrist looks like, his background, etc. is extremely dangerous. I believe Matt Crouch is treading on thin ice. This movie manipulates Bible prophecy, strongly presents a view into antichrist's life which no man can know at this time and rewrites what we know of the Antichrist found within Scripture. This future movie "Meggiddo" goes beyond the Bible and adds to the Bible, just from those three scenes that I watched. It will be in theatres probably next year. We must be reminded of these verses: Rev 22:18: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. The Omega Code proves no one at TBN knows a thing about good drama." |
